Gabreil Daveis Tavern House

The Gabreil Daveis Tavern House is a historic building in the Glendora section of Gloucester Township, Camden County, New Jersey. Also known as the Hillman Hospital House it was designated a hospital by George Washington during the Revolutionary War. The tavern was built in 1756 and the attic was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers and blood stains still remain on the floor, the attic is said to be haunted. The original furnishings are in the house and I hope to see them on my next trip because sadly the house was closed to visitors.
